Crisis On Infinite Internets

So now I have three different blogger logins. One for basic Blogger, which I need to access the 450 blog (since team blogs don't mix well with Blogger Beta); one for beta Blogger, which I used to set up this blog and which I had intended to use as my primary blogging venue; and one for beta Blogger, which I had intended to use for some nerdier (well, more focused) ramblings.

It's an irritant more than anything else, but it's a big 'un.

Incidentally, I've pretty much decided to drop 561. I haven't even had the first class yet, but it works best with my schedule to drop it and I'll be freed up to participate in something else that meets Tuesday afternoon.

I'm reading "The Meaning of Everything," a history of the Oxford English Dictionary (for 571). It's good. A little florid, perhaps, but understandably so given the subject matter. I'm more interested in the history than the linguistics, although both are doubtless necessary to fully illuminate the story being told.

Blogger v. Beta

So . . . it turns out that "team" blogs don't use Blogger Beta. So my Beta blogger login is worthless.

Idiots.

We need a blogger login for 450, so I figured . . . What the hell, y'know?

In all likelihood, I will update this blog infrequently; I learned that from xanga and facebook.
